Danri Fondren — Founder & Director

Danri Fondren has spent more than 35 years on the dance floor — a path that began in Lumberton, Texas, watching and learning from her mother, Danese, who taught dance for over three decades. That early apprenticeship instilled both the artistry and the discipline that define her approach today.

Classically trained through the prestigious Marsha Woody Academy of Dance and Beaumont Civic Ballet, Danri's background combines strong technical foundations with versatility across multiple styles and performance settings. Her own professional career took her from performing with The Walt Disney Company to directing her own onboard production show for an international cruise line.

For 13 years, she helped lead and expand the award-winning City Dance Center as a choreographer, co-company director, and co-owner of its second location. Throughout her career, Danri has trained and mentored dancers who have gone on to achieve success in collegiate, concert, and commercial dance industries. Former students have danced professionally for Walt Disney World, major cruise lines, professional dance companies, Las Vegas residencies, and alongside world-renowned music artists including Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, JoJo Siwa, Journey, Pitbull, and Carrie Underwood.

Known for her ability to connect with students of all ages, Danri is passionate about creating an environment where dancers feel challenged, encouraged, and inspired. Now settled in Houston, Danri is building 3D Dance District around a clear vision: strong classical foundations paired with industry-focused training that goes beyond the basics.
